OCD Therapy

When obsessive thoughts and compulsions take over, life can start to feel exhausting and out of control.

Living with OCD can feel like being trapped in a cycle of intrusive thoughts, doubt, and rituals that temporarily relieve anxiety but never truly solve it. Even when you recognize that your fears may be irrational, the urge to check, repeat, or seek certainty can feel impossible to ignore. OCD therapy offers a supportive, structured way to break these cycles and regain confidence in your thoughts, decisions, and everyday life.

Obsessive Compulsive Habits and Thoughts

What you’re going through.

OCD often brings intrusive thoughts that feel disturbing, confusing, or completely out of character for who you are.

You may find yourself checking, repeating, or mentally reviewing things over and over just to quiet the anxiety, even though the relief never lasts long. Many people with OCD feel embarrassed by their thoughts or worry that others would judge or misunderstand them if they knew.

Over time, these patterns can drain your energy, make decisions feel impossible, and leave you feeling stuck inside your own mind.

How OCD therapy can help.

OCD therapy helps you gradually loosen the grip that obsessive thoughts and compulsions have on your daily life.

Instead of feeling controlled by anxiety or constantly chasing certainty, you can begin learning how to tolerate uncertainty and respond to fears in healthier ways. As therapy progresses, many people notice that intrusive thoughts feel less powerful and their confidence in handling them grows.

The goal isn’t to eliminate every anxious thought, but to help you live more freely without OCD dictating your choices.

My approach to obsessive compulsive disorder.

I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold-standard treatment for OCD, to help you gradually face the fears that keep the cycle going.

Together, we identify the situations, thoughts, or triggers that spark anxiety and develop manageable steps to approach them without relying on compulsions. Along the way, I integrate tools from CBT, ACT, and mindfulness to help you respond to intrusive thoughts with greater flexibility and self-trust.

Sessions are collaborative and paced carefully so you feel supported while building the confidence to handle challenges both inside and outside of therapy.

Overcoming OCD in Daily Life

Who is this for?

OCD therapy can help children, teens, and adults who feel trapped in cycles of intrusive thoughts and compulsive behaviors. Many people I work with know their fears don’t fully make sense, yet the anxiety still feels powerful and hard to ignore. You might find yourself repeatedly checking, seeking reassurance, avoiding certain situations, or questioning your own thoughts and decisions.

If OCD is interfering with your peace of mind, relationships, or daily routines, therapy can offer a path toward feeling more steady and in control.
